Adventure Day, Supporting Sunshine Place, in Memory of Cory Barr
Downtown Sun Prairie is hosting Adventure Day, supporting Sunshine Place, in memory of Cory Barr, on Friday, Sept. 24 from 2-8 p.m. The idea for this event came from Captain Cory Barr, who approached the former executive director of Sunshine Place in early 2018 to discuss a potential downtown event to support the organization. There is no charge for the event, but donations are greatly appreciated.
Event attendees will receive a map and swag bag and are encouraged to visit participating businesses to get their map stamped, and enjoy free food, drinks, giveaways, and activities. Maps stamped at a set number of locations can be turned in at the Downtown Fire Station that day to be entered into a drawing to win prize packages from downtown businesses. More than 35 businesses and locations are participating, which include options appropriate for both families and adults.
Maps and swag bags can be picked up at the Bank of Sun Prairie and Nitty Gritty starting at 2:00 pm on the day of the event. More detailed information will be posted on Sunshine Place’s Facebook page and website in the coming weeks.
