We believe every child deserves clean clothing and warm winter wear. KiDs Closet is a free clothing resource for children and youth in the Sun Prairie and Marshall School Districts. No questions asked; no red tape.

If you are in need of clothing and your child attends Sun Prairie or Marshall Schools, please contact your child’s school social worker for a referral. Once a referral is received, families can select clothing in private and compassionate 30-minute appointment. KiDs Closet Donation Bin Open Daily: Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, 1632 W Main St, Sun Prairie

*This year we will accept new/gently used winter gear YEAR-ROUND, in addition to our seasonal clothing. This allows us to store and save hard-to-find winter items so that they are ready to go for the coming winter.

As you start your spring cleaning, bring us the winter gear your children outgrew, or hit up the winter clearance racks. Our KiDs Closet Youth Board volunteers will even come to your house to pick up your donations! Registration is required by April 6th for donation pick-up. Click here to register and to learn more.

Donations

KiDs Closet accepts NEW underwear and socks, and clean/gently used SEASONAL SCHOOL-AGED (K- High School) clothing and footwear only. Please only donate clothing that your child or a child you know would feel good wearing.

Items Accepted YEAR-ROUND:

Men’s & Women’s athletic shorts
Boy’s & Girl’s athletic shorts
Women’s & Girl’s leggings– especially black ones
NEW underwear
NEW socks
New/gently used winter gear

Our KiDs Closet team has a few friendly reminders:

Besides the items noted above, we are currently accepting school-age children’s WINTER clothing/gear only
Items should be new or gently used — no stains, holes, or heavy wear
Again, underwear/socks must be NEW
Please clean items before donating. We do not have the capacity to do laundry.
We do NOT take baby items of any kind
Do not leave donations outside the bin or facility — items left outdoors can be damaged by weather and cannot be used.
If you are unable to sort your donation items (i.e. only kids, only fall clothing/footwear), we encourage you to donate them to St. Vincent’s, Babies & Beyond of WI, Inc. or elsewhere

C.A.R.D.S. Closet accepts clean and gently used SEASONAL YOUTH clothing and footwear only. Clothing that your child would feel good in.

* Only SPRING AND SUMMER clothing and footwear is being accepted at this time.

* Clothing must be new or like new (no stains, no rips, no sign of heavy wear)

* Donated items must be placed INSIDE our donation bin (open 8am-4pm daily).

* If you are unable to sort your donation items (i.e. only kids, only fall clothing/footwear), we encourage you to donate them to St. Vincent’s (or elsewhere).

Accepted year round: socks, undergarments – ONLY BRAND NEW, please.
