A free clothing resource for Sun Prairie Area School Families
1632 W. Main Street
If you are in need of clothing and your child attends Sun Prairie Schools, please contact your child’s school social worker for a referral.
We believe every child deserves clean clothing and warm winter wear. C.A.R.D.S. Closet is a free clothing resource for children and youth in the Sun Prairie Area School District. Families get a social worker referral to participate, then select clothing in private and compassionate 30-minute appointment. C.A.R.D.S. Closet, run by a student board of directors, accepts clean and gently used seasonal clothing and footwear, and brand-new socks and undergarments. If you want to give—and be certain that your donation benefits children in your community and those in immediate need—drop off clothing donations in the large bin outside our store. Donation bin is open on a limited basis. See more details below for donations.

We have a large donation bin on location (1632 W Main St, Sun Prairie) for drop off during donation hours (see above). If you want to make sure that your clothing stays local and helps out someone in the Sun Prairie Area School District and others in immediate need, then we can help you accomplish that.
Once we receive your donation, we sort and store for the time of need. That call usually comes from the school, the SP Police Department, or other community agencies. We try to push for a 24 hour turn around.
For items we do not have that are requested, we have an email list that we utilize for such request. We will also post on this page. As you know, with times of crisis, a quick response is usually best so, we work hard to meet every request that comes in.
